Something I Wrote for Our Outbound Portfolio

OUTBOUND STUFF
INTRODUCTION

Last 28th of November 2008, our class went to the Seven Lakes in San Pablo, Laguna. We had fun and excitement during all the activities that we did. There were mud, trees, water, mountains, water and more mud. There were also animals that can be seen on the grassy parts near the lakes. The sky was pretty awesome too. For more of the wonderful scenes being described, please flip to the next page now and see God’s creation in action.

INSIGHTS

During our outbound, we saw landscapes that we haven’t seen before. Our eyes were opened about the other side of the country: nature. The trees were very healthy. They stood tall on the ground and on the grass. The grass was green. The soil was brown. There was construction happening near the second lake that we visited. It was a bit loud. The plane was muddy and slippery that you can accidentally dip your feet in just like dipping the nachos, fries, or even pizzas in the barbecue/cheese sauce. Although we knew about this, some of us slipped in, unfortunately. The Skies were blue. It didn’t rain, very UNfortuntely. We saw some dead fish in Sampaloc Lake. The Twin lakes were awesome and clean since their location were far away from the busy streets of Laguna. There were many big fish nets on some of the lakes. Even though the Samplaoc Lake is dirty and full of trash, surprisingly, its pH level is neutral. We were expecting it to be acidic. The animals were doing there own thing. They didn’t attack us, fortunately enough. The clean lakes had a distinct color of blue when you see it from afar. The lakes were deep since we were required to wear life vests. There were poop of the animals on the road leading to the lakes. Some parts of the trip were smelly. I personally saw bubbles running to the lake which I think will make the lake acidic. It was cold then even though it didn’t rain. It wasn’t hot except for some of us that include me and Belay. The views were irresistible to capture. The plain was steep. Some of us almost fell on and/or in the mud. There were roads not taken. The mountains were good displays on the background of the lakes. There were times when the sky was foggy. Complaining of tiredness was not an option even though we were exhausted, climbing up the steps back to the road. Houses were built near some of the lakes which explain some of the trashes that we found on the surface of the lakes. Some people maintain the cleanliness of the lakes and some don’t. There were small flowers which names we don’t know but were beautiful and attractive that we picked them up. You can’t swim on the lake if you have your monthly period. Kids smoke at the adult’s back and even face the side of the lake so no one can catch them except for the people who are very aware of their surroundings. There were flies on some point of the walking. It gets colder when you’re wet and the wind starts to blow hard. You can’t take a bath in the bathroom even though it is called the BATHroom. You can’t also take a bath when the bathroom is full of people waiting for their turn unless they were patient enough and they are allowed by their proctor a.k.a. class adviser. You can’t play on the playground even though it is called the PLAYground. You can’t swim in the swimming pool even though it is called the SWIMMING pool not the STARING pool. You can’t stop the beat and the voice in our larynx when we sing during trekking, walking, swimming, or even sitting and/or standing in the bus. The facilitators from Lakbay Kalikasan have really old, bad and corny jokes. Students can’t cheat when the classroom is outside the school (a lot of witnesses can see them if they cheat.) You should bring your camera when you are visiting the twin lakes (they are so amazingly clean and had crystal-like surface.)Trekking is not amzing when it doesn’t rain. Some people are unfair in so many different ways. Sitting near the front of the nus is not such a good idea if you are far away from the fun people of your class. Nothing can beat a sleep in the bus after all that amazing adventure knowing that there is still a better side of the of the ugly streets, buildings and cities of the 7107 islands called the Philippines.

After Vacation

Just went back from Isabela...

I had so much fun doing things I don't usually do here at home. There are only few minutes that I spend time in watching the television there since there are LOTS of thing to do that we wished there were still more time to kill.

I came to realize that I choose kids to be my friends. I only like kids that are easy to handle and not kids that always cry without any reason at all or kids that ignores you when you talk to them or kids who blame someone else even though it's really his/her fault.

Now, I miss all the fun with my little cousin. It is supposedly 'cousins' but I didn't like his sister. She is so maldita and not really friendly. His brother rocks even though he is just six years old. The only down side about him is that he doesn't fix his toys when he is done playing with them. We always tell him to put them on their proper places but he refuses to do so. He is also naughty that's why he gets scolded by our scary grandfather who doesn't like kids more than I do.

We played airplanes. He would go sit on my lap and hold my arms sidewards and fly like an airplane. Then, still sitting on my lap, he pretends that we are a tank that shoots invisible bullets. After that he pretends that we are in a submarine that crushes tot the ground, making a little vibration effect while he is looking on the floor. I make the vibration.

With my other cousins their, we played hide and seek. the three youngest go hide and the three older cousins go seek. the oldest among us is the referee who is witness whether someone already saved or not. It was fun because I was one of the older cousins who sought the younger ones. We went up the stairs, in to every room in the house and found them one by one.

That's not all. I didn't only spent time with my cousins, I also spent it with my two uncles. The younger one had a laptop it was slow though. He helped fix my card when we were playing cards. The older one is more fun because he is the one who me and my brother go against in cards all the time. He is really good! He coached me thrice then I won on those plays. It was so awesome that before we left for the bus station, my brother and I challenged him for the last time. WE had three games. The first two was my success then the last was my brother's victory. It was so cool! I wished we had two more so that would have been five games before we left.

On the second day of stay, the four of us: mom, dad, my brother and I, together with our grandmother, went to the Our Lady of Piat Church in Cagayan . It took us a bus, a tricycle, and a Public Utility van to get there. We took some pictures and left. On the last day of stay, my mother, my previous made, and I went to Baculud to visit other few relatives and another previous made that the family had. We forgot to bring the camera so no pictures were taken. Mom chatted with the people we visited so did our previous maid then we went back to my grandparents' place where we stayed in Isabela.

Of course, I also watched T.V. I watched Myx Daily Top Ten, Suite Life on Deck, and a little bit of M.I.T. 20. That's all that I watched. The rest of my time was spent with my cousins and on food.

That's my Christmas Vacation Experience this 2008. If ever we are asked to make an essay about what we did during the vacation, this will be on the body part of the essay.

If you're wondering where and/or when did I use the things I brought in Isabela, then here is a list of activities that includes my iPod, The Merchant of Venice Book, my Health Kit, some food, and my clothes:
  • My iPod

I used when whenever we travelled. I also used it when I am bored in the sense that my fave kid cousin is taking a nap.

  • The Merchant of Venice Book

I memorized my first four lines while everybody was taking nap during our first day of stay (my brother got sick so he had to nap. My two little cousins went to nap. My two other cousins slept on the couch. I was on the front yard memorizing, almost slept.).

  • Some Food

We brought six Chippy's, and two PicNic's. They were gone on the second day of stay so we bought six more before going back from Piat.

  • My Clothes

I wore them of course! My best outfit was during our third stay (we went to mass, I had to dress up).

  • My Health Kit

It has my powder, lib balm, extra everything a girl must have when she is on a trip (gotta be hygienic).

That's all! I have to work on my memorization of my lines for the play. But for now, I'm gonna get some rest and just sit back relax and watch the television.

I'm Out. Peace...

I'm FREAKING OUT!!! (for the first time in my life)

Long time no post since Dec 12. I was busy reviewing for my exams. Don't wanna waste my time doing nothing. But unfortunately, I don't think that I did my best in the tests because I took a lot of my time thinking about the right answer instead of answering the questions. It was very depressing. I'm guessing that I all of my grades will be less a point in the card. Now, I am a little nervous. I don't think that my class standing would help increase or retain my previous grades because my participation, I think, was not half good. To tell the truth, This is my worst performance in school ever. And I thought that I would absolutely have fun this school year. But now, I think it's the exact opposite.

First of all, I didn't do well in my Speech in Filipino. Here's the story:
I was the first one to speak in front of the class!!!!! How COOL is that supposed to be since your turn is over by the next minute. I was so fortunate that I wasn't able to memorize my supposedly memorized speech. And normally, I cried after I muttered and made fun of my self in front of everyone in class. I'm telling ya... It was FREAKING HUMILIATING!!!!! I asked the teacher if there was any extra curricular activity that I can do so I can get a payback score kind of thing so I don't fail her subject: Filipino. But all that she said was that I there is none; I can do my payback in the exams. But as I just said, I don't think I did well in the freaking exams!!!
*I'm using "Freaking" because my friend thought that she was the one who started saying the word when in fact I was the one who started using the word which I learned in "The New Adventures of Old Christine" (I don't watch it, I just heard it in the commercial in ETC or 2ND Avenue).
Second, Advanced Algebra quizzes are killing me, mentally. I don't know what's happening to me. I think I'm degrading myself too much but I think I don't have the smarts or the brains to excel much in the subject anymore. So frustrating... (and to think I'm the girl in class that doesn't know how to get frustrated... I am now!).
Third, let's talk about my favorite subject this school year that is another factor that makes this year and quarter so bad. Chemistry is what I'm talking about. I'm pretty good at the subject. So good that one, I wasn't able to answer the last two questions in the long test which both were worth FIVE POINTS EACH!!!!! I lost automatically TEN FREAKING POINTS!!!!! Ha! Beat that! It was over sixty-five and I only got fifty-three. If ever I answered the two questions correctly, I would have gotten sixty-three over sixty-five. That's two points away from the perfect score. I got beaten by an average girl in Chemistry who happens to be the friend I was talking about in the *asterisk part. I have to say... That's not surprising at all. She was the batch's second top student last quarter. Who knows... maybe she'd be number one. She could possibly beat me in Advanced Algebra too since we have the same subjects all to ourselves. She's good in Math and Science, I'm good in Math and Science. We both are. Anyway... that's not all! I also wasn't able to finish the exam MISMO. I wasn't able to answer the last page and the three-fourths of the second to last page. What's worse is that my answers in the multiple choice was tragic because at first I was calm that my answer was correct since my answer appeared in the choices. but as the test numbers go by, the questions or should I say the items for computations just became harder! So I guessed MOST, not some, of the answers... so sad. I screamed along with my other classmates who weren't able to finish the exam just like me.
Fourth, and I think is the last, is the Practical Exam in Computer. I was so pleased at first when the teacher said that we can look in our notes for the codes since it was impossible for us to memorize all of it. When taking the test, there was an instruction that says that we should make another window and when the time is right, we will make it appear after the first window. How the HECK can we do that if she didn't give us the codes??? Then the class found out that in other sections, they have the codes since they discussed the topic. It was not frustrating for me since it was over but for one it was so frustrating that she is still mad about it when she found out (she's the friend I'm talking about). In general, I think the class didn't get high grades. and correction, writing this in my blog doesn't mean I was frustrated. I'm just sharing the reasons why I think this year is the worst for me so far.
Anyway... I'm not really angry or mad about my friend that has been part of this post. It just so happens that I got sick of her since we're together every time in class while my best friend is in the other section. We're alwqays together that some friends in the class call me her "Leech". I also got sick of being labeled as her "leech" that I quit stalking her in the sense that I don't follow her that often now. If she wants to this way, I go that way. That's the way it rolls now.
I can also say this is the worst year because I am not classmates with my best friend, my seatmates are not helping me focus, I always think about Matt Prokop that I can't concentrate in studying for quizzes, exams, and long tests. Talk about crushes again...
Anyway, that's it for now! Merry Christmas to all!!!

Crush...

I HAD a crush on Joe Jonas. It started last summer here in the Philippines. The reason how I knew about him and the Jopnas Brothers, here it goes...
Last school year in the first weeks of February till the last weeks, when I was still a sophomore, my best friend discovered S.O.S. by the Jonas Brothers. I didn't know the song at that time. I didn't even know the band. She sang it for at least a week with my other friend who hangs out with us. Since I wanted to sing along, I downloaded the song. It was cool. I get to sing along with my two friends. While we sing SOS, my friend said that she likes the lead singer and my best friend said that she likes the other lead singer who plays the guitar. I didn't know what they looked like so I had no choice to like the last brother who , according to the two of them, was not that attractive (no offense to Kevin Jonas). On the last weeks of February, she sang Year 3000. I repeated my method and downloaded it. So during the first weeks till the last day of school year 2007-2008, I sang Year 3000 and SOS.
Then I searched for the band during the week after the last day. I searched for pictures since I didn't know them yet. Then I figured the reason why they liked the lead singers and not so liked the last one (no offense). Then secretly to myself, I'm crushing on Joe. Then it got out when I see them on T.V. performing: S.O.S., When You Look Me In The Eyes, and Hold On. So my parents know about it so does my little brother. When I figured that they appear in Disney, that gave me a reason to be a fan of the band. I buy the magazines which display their pictures and names (but I have to say, they are not cheap).
I had a crush on him from April till October 23, 2008, the day before High School Musical 3: Senior Year premieres worldwide in Cinemas.
Here are the reasons why I didn't have a crush on him anymore...
  1. I found out that he was having a relationship with a girl DURING his relationship with Taylor Swift.
  2. He is a trying hard rockstar.
  3. Now, that I think of it, I can say that he's gay.
  4. According to my friends, he's a... Man-whore
  5. lastly... HE SUCKS!!!

But that doesn't mean I didn't like anyone then after Joe. Someone else caught my attention during the premiere of HSM3. HE is none other than: Jimmie "Rocketman" Zara (Matt Prokop). HE is totally funny, awesome and totally amazing!!! I love his song with Sharpay during the Spring Musical. "Just Wanna Be With You". There was one time when the lyrics of the song was my status in the messenger, stressing on the word "ALL!!!", the part when he started to sing. If ever Matt will have his own album (which I doubt), I'll buy it first thing.

Now, I'm totally crushing on Matt after 8 months of crushing on Joe Jonas. It wasn't easy to switch. I can't avoid seeing Joe because he is always in the television singing either Burnin' UP or LoveBug; or even see him in Disney. That's why I don't watch T.V. often anymore. I only watch CSI Las Vegas, and CSI Miami in Fox Crime and Hereos in either Star World or CS9.

yeah...

I'm back again... just finished our Mastery Test this morning... as usual... I didn't finish the math part... it always happens... I never get to finish the stinkin' subject every Mastery tests... so depressing... and to think i'm pretty good at the subject... i guess i'm just slow in computations... i wish i was fast... anyway... i wasn't able to answer the last two items... so... it's cool... better than not answering anything... better luck next time... *sigh*...
